American Airlines - Domestic Travel Only
Passengers who buy domestic economy-class tickets on or after
May 12 will be charged $25 for a second checked bag. Exceptions
are made for customers in their frequent-flier program who have
achieved AAdvantage Gold, Platinum and Executive Platinum status,
for those who bought full-fare tickets and those who are traveling
internationally outside Canada and U.S. territories.

US Airways - International and Domestic
A $25 fee will be assessed for a
passenger’s second checked bag. Passengers can continue to check
one bag free of charge. The fee applies to travel that occurs on
or after May 5, 2008. Travelers who purchased travel before Feb.
26 for travel on or after May 5 are exempt from the policy change.
The policy applies to all flights within the U.S., to and from
Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. The $25 second
checked bag fee does not apply to:

All Dividend Miles Preferred
members (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Chairman’s Preferred)

Passengers traveling to and from
Europe, or to and from Asia

Confirmed First Class and Envoy
passengers at time of check-in

Star Alliance Silver and Gold
status members

Active military personnel with ID
and government issued travel orders

Unaccompanied minors

Passengers checking personal
assistive devices

United Domestic - Travel Only
Customers
purchasing any domestic Economy ticket, on refundable fares,
government fares and Standard Award tickets in Economy class and
who do not have premium status in Mileage Plus or Star Alliance
may check one bag for free and a second bag for $25.00.Customers
who purchased these types of fares on or after February 4, 2008
and prior to April 4, 2008 for travel on or after May 5, 2008 may
request a waiver of the second bag service fee upon check-in with
a Customer Service Representative at the airport

Continental - Domestic Travel Only
A
$25 fee will be implemented for
customers checking a second bag when traveling on certain Economy
fare tickets. The fee will apply for tickets purchased on or after
April 5, 2008 for travel commencing on or after May 5, 2008 within
the 50 U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. Certain
customers will be exempt from paying the new fee and will be
allowed to check second bags free of charge (bags must meet weight
and size restrictions). These customers include:
- OnePass Elite
members
- SkyTeam Elite and
Elite Plus members
- Any customer
traveling on a ticket purchased in Y class of service
- Continental
Airlines Presidential Plus credit card holders
- Active military
personnel traveling on orders

Delta Airlines - Domestic Travel Only
Starting May 5, 2008 you will be allowed
one free bag per passenger traveling in the U.
S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Exceptions
include:
- Business Elite® and First Class
passengers are allowed 3 checked bags at no charge up to 70 lbs.
- Passengers traveling to or from Key West
and Marathon, Florida are limited to only one
checked bag.
- Active duty military personnel with
traveling orders will be allowed to check 2 bags up to 70lbs at
no additional charge.

Northwest Airlines - Domestic Travel Only
Those traveling with a Coach Class
tickets issued on/after March 29, 2008 for travel on/after May 5,
2008 will be charged $25 for their second checked bag.
Northwest Airlines' Silver, Gold and Platinum WorldPerks®
Elite customers, SkyTeam Elite customers and passengers booked in
full fare classes (Y or B) may still check two bags free of
charge. Customers booked in First Class can continue to check up
to three bags free of charge

Southwest Airlines - No change thus far
Southwest will allow two (2) checked pieces of baggage per
ticketed Customer. Size and weight limitations apply. You
may check a third bag for a charge of $25. Your 4th through 9th
bag or item will incur a charge of $50 per piece, and any bag or
item thereafter will be $110 per piece.
The above charges are each way, and not
round-trip. Each airline has weight limits on each bag as
well, with the majority being either 45 or 50 pounds. While we
